Last month we went to Charleston, SC for the kids fall break. We had a GREAT time & did lots of fun things. Day one was raining so we went to a double feature of Toy Story I & II in 3D. It was funny & it was the first time Doug experienced the 3D experience with us. We went to Palmetto Island county park, we had never been before with the kids. We had lunch, played on the playground & rented bikes. We had thought briefly about renting the paddle boats until we saw the BEWARE of ALLIGATORS sign. No Thanks...the kids & I were chicken! We also took Mattie & Sydney horseback riding. Carson didn't want to ride & Abby, well I'm not sure why she didn't ride. I don't think she wanted to be led around, she wanted to ride on her own. One day, Mom, the kids & I went for a walk on the greenway. It was a pretty walk way & we even got to see a family of deer. Mom got off early one dad so Dad could take us to Kiawah Island, there we went to the Sanctuary, it's a beautiful hotel! We walked around & had drinks & snacks. We stopped for a yummy dinner on the way home. Mom & Dad took us to our favorite Ice Cream shop, Ye Ol' Fashion Ice Cream, it's a MUST have while we are there! We found out that night how much mom really loves Doug when she jumped to his defence! Another night mom, dad & us met Dusty, Pam, Stacey & Jay ( Britt & Chris had to work) for dinner at a yummy pizza parlor. I had never seen such big pizzas in my life! We also had a get together at mom & dad's for dinner, drinks & a friendly game of Mad Gab! What a GREAT time we had! During our visit we also found time to go to the beach one day & took the kids to Kickin' Chicken for lunch.
We had such a fun time & nice visit! My parents look great as always & our time together is much enjoyed! Until next time...
