Well the time finally came, the year for my baby boy to start kindergarten. The last of my kids to go to school, the last to have his first day of kindergarten. Although I am very proud of my little guy, it breaks my heart. I'm not ready for this new chapter.
Carson has embraced kindergarten like a champ! He has done so well & been so brave! We feel so blessed he has the same kindergarten teacher all the girls have had. Like her sisters Sydney is following tradition & has begun reading to Carson's class on Friday's. Carson feels so proud having her stop by because they don't see each other throughout the day. I pray he continues to have a wonderful year!
I saw a friend posted this & it is exactly how I feel:
I walk out of school, every year on this day, with an enormous lump in my throat and the inability to blink 'cause the tears will fall. Every step our children take ahead is another step they take away. It is exhilarating. Heartbreaking. It is parenting. And it is why I always call the First Morning the First Mourning.
