No Camera Today...

Doug has taken my camera for the day, therefore I can't post my magnificent pictures. We had a jam packed week end, with cheer tryouts for Abby, a middle school dance & sleep-over, basketball, 2 birthday parties, lawn mowing, power washing, attaching an awning to the house, took advantage of tax free week end & went shopping at Cool Springs & dinner with friends! Dinner with friends was adults only! How nice was that?! Our super, terrific friends the Ashbaugh's wined & dined us at the Bone Fish Grill. Here, I tried my very first martini (pomegranate) & I must say it was just fabulous! I was very surprised how yummy it was. We had a great time & enjoyed the delicious food & company.

Abby received her phone call that she made the cheer squad at school for next year! The coach calls all the girls that made it by 7pm that evening. All the girls previously on the squad made the team. She took a total of 12 girls out of 60+ that tried out. WAY TO GO AB!!

You noticed I mentioned awning? Let me tell you about this. Doug is so proud of his big awning. His friend gave it to him, it was very pricey purchased new, but he could no longer use it. Doug worked & worked to get this thing hung! It is 21 feet long & goes over the entire deck. Once hung, Doug & Carson sat & played proudly underneath. I will get a picture of Doug relaxing under this thing real soon.

Sydney had her second basketball game, she made 4 baskets! She has so much fun & is so pleased when she shoots & scores! It is so much fun to watch! The 30 minutes they play goes very fast!

Happy 5th Birthday Syd!!

Syd had such a GREAT birthday! She had a Little Mermaid party & invited some friends from school. We played games & had a pinata. She got so many great things! Polly pockets, Little Pony's, adorable clothes & pajamas! I can't believe she is five & will be starting school! Where does the time go?

Syd plays Basketball

Syd is playing basketball at the YMCA. This is her first organized sport. She is playing for the 4 & 5 year olds. She was so pumped up for her first practice! She is a GREAT dribbler & shooter! She played in her first game last week end & she made two baskets! She was so excited! She is so funny to watch. I think she has the tune of 'Get Your Head in the Game' from High School Musical playing in her head as she is racing around! You go Syd!!

Father-Daughter Dance

I organized a Father -Daughter dance for our Girl Scout service unit. We had 90+ couples, I think it was a hit & everybody had a great time! Mattie is always so excited for the big dance, she LOVES going with her Dad! She looked so beautiful in her dress & tiara.

Fun At The Ashbaugh's

We went over to our dear friends, the Ashbaugh's on Easter Sunday. We had a GREAT time! Nancy served up some yummy supper for the gang. As you can see we have a BIG gang between the two families! We are VERY proud of our group picture, you have no idea what we went through to get this great shot! Cameras, timers & Doug proved to be very interesting! We were all laughing so hard & loud, we made Ro cry! Thanks for the fun filled day! We should do this again next year!

It looks like the Easter Bunny found our house! The kids LOVE looking in their baskets & searching for all the hidden eggs! It is always so much fun!

PEPSI 300

Doug got us tickets to the Pepsi 300 this past week end. Actually, he had to be there, but he got me an extra ticket. We were treated to the 5th floor sky box & what a view it was! We had a GREAT time! Of course, Doug is treated to fun stuff all the time, so it was nice I was able to go.

We Go Together

Abby's school is having talent show try outs this week. She has gotten together 8 friends, boys & girls, to put on a 'Grease' performance. They are doing it to, 'We Go Together'. They have held practices at our house the past two nights. It is so darn cute! I can't imagine them not making it. They will steal the show!
