Barfield Idol

The girls & their BFF Lauren tried out for Barfield Idol at school. They did the Hoe Down Throw Down from the Hannah Montana movie. Two other groups did the same dance so they put them all together to perform & they were the final act.

Mattie & Sydney's Awards Night

The girls had their awards night this week. Sydney received a Citizenship award- for ideal behavior an awesome sense of responsibility & Perfect Attendance. Mattie received Citizenship also & President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence. That award is only given to qualifying 4th & 5th graders. She almost received Perfect Attendance & was so sad when she missed due to strep just a few weeks ago! Darn it, so close!

Good Job Girls...we are so proud of you for always doing your best! School is so important & your good grades are a reflection of your hard work! Keep it up!

Happy 4th Birthday Carson

My little boy turned 4! Four...are you kidding me? Where does the time go? Carson had such a great time on his birthday! He loved opening his gifts & having us sing to him. In the afternoon we went to McDonald's with our BFF's Nancy & Rowan to have Happy Meals & play. At home we just celebrated with our family. Once again Nana & Papa came through with clothes making Carson look so handsome! Papa sent him a baseball mitt & ball. Mom and dad got him a big boy hockey stick & spider man skates.

Thanks to everybody that remembered Carson and made him feel so special!

Mattie Turns 10!

Mattie celebrated her 10th birthday on May 12th. It's hard to believe she is 10! She didn't have a big party. I just took her, Lauren & Sydney to have their first mani/pedi done. They thought it was fabulous! Afterwards we went to our favorite Mexican food restaurant with our family & some friends. Mattie got lots of nice gifts! Nana & Papa always come through with lots of FABULOUS clothes and mom and dad got her Hermit Crabs, Hermie & Callie. Thanks to everybody that remembered Mattie on her birthday & made her feel special. She always looks forward to the special phone calls she receives! :) She is such a special girl & makes us smile everyday. She is the peace maker of our family & is such a joy.

Abby & Jordan

I wanted to post a few pictures of Abby & Jordan. They are so cute & always seems to have lots of fun together. How fun to be young! The kids think Jordan is pretty fabulous too. Carson asks almost every morning if Jordan is coming over or if Jordan has a soccer game. Jordan is a great soccer player & we all have become fans!

Sydney's 7th Birthday

I can not believe my little girl is 7! It seems just like yesterday I had her. Life is NEVER dull with Sydney around, she's always saying something crazy or acting crazy! She is so much fun! She can really brighten up a room.

On Sydney's birthday (April22) we took her to see Earth. She had talked about for the longest time seeing it on her birthday. She opened up all her gifts & we had a little cake with the family. Her last gift was a bike & we sent her on a scavenger hunt to find it. Then for her friends Sydney wanted to have a Jonas Brothers Birthday party. I had to get a bit creative using posters & making my own decorations & figuring out a cake. I think it turned out cute and Sydney had a great time! Happy 7th Birthday sweet girl! We love you!
