Mattie's Fiesta!

Mattie wanted to have a Fiesta for her birthday. She had a few girls spend the night & I took them to a local Mexican food restaurant. I even managed to make a sombrero cake! She had a fabulous time. Especially when they put the sombrero on her head & sang to her!

Carson Turns Three

Carson was so excited about his birthday! Watching the girls have theirs & patiently waiting for his. He wanted a digger man party. I created this cute cake, that I am so proud of. I think it turned out so cute. I wouldn't mind making a digger cake every year! I think I love this cake the best out of any I have ever made. Carson loved all his presents! He got lots of tractors & digger man trucks. He got a lot of darling clothes!

Mattie's Birthday...

Mattie had a great day! She's such a happy kid! Carson & I brought her McDonald's to school & brought cupcakes that I baked in ice-cream cones. The cupcake/cones were a hit, the kids thought they were great! That evening she opened all her gifts & we sang Happy Birthday to her. She is having a Fiesta with her friends this week end. She wants them to spend the night & go to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant.

Happy Birthday Mattie!! Mattie has been so excited about her birthday, she has been counting down for weeks! This morning before school she opened a few gifts & will do the rest tonight. Last night we took her to dinner, she wanted to go to Mongolian . I'll update more later.... Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!

Week End Getaway

Anyone who knows me, knows this was a huge step for me! Doug won a contest at work. The prize was an all expense paid weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. I was so stressed about leaving the kids & mostly getting on the plane. I wanted to be excited, but couldn't find it in me! My anxiety really gets the best of me. I'm proud to say I went & survived! We had a great week end! We stayed at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort & Spa. The Players Golf Championship is there this week end. Our first night we had a pool side meet & greet. There was music, appetizers, open bar, a magician mingling with everyone & a man rolling cigars. It was very nice. The next day they took us to St. Augustine, the nations oldest city. (funny thing... my mom will be there next week) There we took a Schooner Tour, that was really neat. Afterwards we were able to walk around the streets have lunch & shop. That evening we had a dinner/awards. We left midday on Friday & was home by 1pm on Sunday. My dear friend Nancy offered to keep the kids for the weekend. She already has three of her own, I owe her big time!! I've been told the kids were great & all went well. Abby had her 8th grade dance the same week end. She had a fun time & when I get pictures I will post them. So, here's to a grown-up week end. I am glad I went, I had a lovely time with my wonderful husband!! Doug thanks for a GREAT week end!!

Sydney's Cooking Party

Sydney had a Cooking party with her friends for her birthday. I made aprons & chef hats for everyone. They each got to make mini pizzas, pies & fruit kabobs. They also played some games. It was a great time!

Sydney Turns Six

Sydney had her 6th birthday last week. We started the morning off by letting her open a couple gifts. I brought cupcakes to school & brought her McDonald's for lunch. Carson & I ate lunch with her that day. They have a special corner where parents can eat with their kids. I always let the kids pick what meal they would like for dinner on their special day. For some reason this year I let Sydney pick where she would like to go. She picked Chuck E Cheese. They had such a great time! They love it there & never get tired of the place. Mattie & Sydney put their tickets together & got a gumball machine. They thought it was awesome! When we got home she opened her gifts. She had such a great day & was worn out by the end!
